Municipal Study Work – Town of Milton. LDS provided project review services for the Temple Shalom site on Blue Hill Avenue on behalf of the Milton Planning Board and the Temple Redevelopment Advisory Board. The company reviewed the market demand and financial feasibility for a range of proposed commercial and residential uses for the site, including multifamily housing, assisted living and retail uses and presented is findings at a public meeting. Subsequent to the presentation by LDS of its findings, the Planning Board has recommended a zoning change for the property. Continuing to grow its Service Area. The company has been placed on Kentucky Housing Corporation, New Hampshire Housing Finance Agency, New York State Housing Trust Fund Corporation and New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal and Virginia Housing Development Authority's approved list of market study providers.
Funding Studies.
LDS worked continuously throughout 2009 on housing studies for clients
seeking funding from DHCD and HUD and for communities working on
plans for affordable housing. LDS worked in communities such as
Acton, Brockton, Cambridge, Lowell, Milton, New Bedford, North Andover,
Stow, Wellesley and Yarmouth LDS was hired to be an expert witness in a Chapter 40B Housing Appeals Court Case. LDS was hired by the developer to write rebuttal testimony with regard to the issues of local and regional need and sustainable development principles. The case is scheduled to be heard in the summer of 2009. LDS Consulting chosen by MA Department of Housing
